“Wells of Salvations”

ISAIAH 12:3

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

When you hear the word “draws" you automatically connect it with what an architect might do. However, it can also be used to describe drawing water out of a well, which is a good description of the multiple gospel ministries coming out of the Tidwells. Their recording career started in the early 1970s. Through the years, they have built a storehouse of many good things to share with others. That is what they have been doing a lot of lately and that is sharing their gifts everywhere. Their desire is to be a blessing.

By the 1980’s, the Tidwell family had a long list of released albums. However, things were beginning to change. God was not only adding new members into the group, but was also adding another ministry. The songwriting ministry was beginning to unfold.

One of their earlier songs, "He Keeps Leading Me On" was sung by the Singing Cookes. It's success in the Southern Gospel Music Charts is a testimony that it was a blessing to many people.

Their radio ministry has continued over the years with their latest charted song being “Heaven Will Welcome Me Now”. Special thanks to all of the DJ’s who have loved this simple country gospel song and are sharing it with their audience. Their next upcoming release is a song titled, “Bottom of the Barrel”.  It is promised to be their best ever.

This year will mark twenty-one years that James Tidwell, the manager, has been a dedicated Pastor. James is the baritone and bass player for the group. Mixing evangelism with their music ministry has set them on fire for God. It helps them to keep their eye on the goal, and that is to reach the lost for Jesus, and while doing so, encourage the Body of Christ.

Michael, the main lead singer, is also a minister of the Gospel. One of his callings is working in the mission fields. He has traveled to several countries including the Philippines, India, and Honduras. The Tidwell's have answered the call to help in the foreign mission fields. Jesus said, “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”.

Andrea is the tenor and keyboard player for the group. She is also the mother of three small boys that keep her constantly on her toes. As a certified teacher, she has devoted her time to educating children. Today she is a stay at-home mother who is sharing the love of Jesus with her children.

The Tidwell’s purchased their second bus around 2001. When getting ready to leave town, they cannot wait to get on the road and share what Jesus is doing in their lives. Often they are 400 or more miles away from home on Saturday evenings. In most cases they make it back to their home church for the Sunday morning service. “I could not wait to get home and tell someone what I saw Jesus do” is a statement that James has stated many Sunday mornings. Yes, the Tidwell's are drawing but it is from "the wells of salvation", which will never run dry.

Listen to the Tidwell’s and you and yours will be blessed. When the Tidwell’s come into your area, you will see that they are drawing from God's Spirit. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to be vessels that He can use for His glory.
